Annual dues include a subscription to SAM Speaks magazine/newsletter published by SAM every other month. Dues for U.S. and Canadian members are $25.00 per year, which also includes 6 issues of SAM Speaks. For other than U.S. and Canadian members, the individual rate is $40.00 per year, which includes SAM Speaks shipped in an envelope via airmail. Dues payments for up to three years are accepted.

Life memberships are available. Please contact SAM Secretary (link) for further information.

Overseas SAM Chapters are eligible to receive and subscribe to bulk order quantities (minimum quantity of ten copies) of SAM Speaks at a reduced rate from the individual $40.00 annual fee. Bulk orders are shipped in one package, via bulk rate airmail to one location. Contact the SAM Secretary for complete information.

Membership expiration dates are shown on the SAM Speaks address labels in a year/month format. ie: 200601, meaning expires January 2006. One month prior to expiration date members will receive a “Dues are due” reminder postcard. On the 1st of the month after expiration month those unpaid members will receive a final 2nd dues notice advising they missed the next issue of SAM Speaks and to submit dues immediately to renew their membership and prevent missing any further issues of the magazine.

New members receive a SAM membership card and Rule Book, a sample issue of SAM Speaks (link), a SAM Brochure telling all about SAM, a Chapter List (link to International Chapters) advising where all the SAM Chapters are located throughout the world plus their contact information, a choice of either the SAM Approved Designs List (link to Approved Lists page) ~ Gas Models -or- Rubber Models, and a Vendor Source List (link to Vendor's page).
