Jim Walker was really one of a kind. He was a visionary, a showman, an inventor and a passionate promoter of Model Aviation. Whether he was flying his Two-Speed ignition engine Fireball with U-Control or his 10 cent Model 74 Glider, he captivated the crowds and the imagination of a generation of youngsters with his incredible flying skills. Producing Ready-To-Fly model planes years before balsa became common, his American Junior Aircraft Company shaped the furure of the hobby world with his innovative ideas and gave many of us the tools for the gift of flight. For those lucky enough to have met Jim Walker, we offer some precious fond memories. For those of us who never had the chance, we offer the chance to experience the fun and excitement of discovering the magic that was Jim Walker

Welcome to the site of a pair of master craftsment from Italy who specialize
in Reproducing great motors of the past and who have ties to SAM Italia. No
one claims to be an italian linguist but the rough translation of their home
page text is as follows:
"In these pages you will find photos and characteristics of motors for model aircraft of years 45-46 that have been replicated by two modellisti,(modellers) friends for life,in that they share the same passion for the mechanics, and modelling in general. These replicas can be more appreciated when you consider how many originals were constructed and moreover you will find here replicas of the true reproductions, working, of marine motors that were installed on fishings boats of years 40 and 50. Finally the realization of one new replica: The Elia Titano, Other Italian motor of 1946. Leaf through this page from time to time and you will be able to follow the realization of this replica in all its constructive phases. "

Home
to the Academy of Model Aeronautics web presence. Under construction, and
apparently, a surprise to most AMA members, it will offer a range of services
for AMA members, club listings, contest calendars, hopefully with frequent
updates. Fine graphics and attractive to navigate, this is a must-have
on your bookmark list.

they only ask for credit if you do. The Muroc Model Masters would also
like to invite you to add your newsletter to their list of editors willing

Wonderful site with great links to free-flight oriented sites and tips and...you get the drift. Well-maintained and fun site worth the regular visit.
The
Experimental Aircraft Association's Web Site--more fun than you could believe!
Still the best organization for home-builders. Let's face it, most modelers
secretly wish to build a full-scale job......Some Day!
